About the Thumb Grip
The thumb grip is about speed: it gets your sight up faster when you aim. In close fights, where the first accurate shot often wins, that matters more than recoil.
Where to find it
Floor loot. Attachments lie next to guns and ammo in buildings, with the best odds in military areas and large compounds. The rarer ones also turn up in airdrop crates.
