The SMG barrel extender is one of the newer muzzle attachments. It lengthens the barrel to help an SMG at the edge of its range, rather than taming close-range recoil. Test it against the compensator for your playstyle.
Where to find it
Floor loot. Attachments lie next to guns and ammo in buildings, with the best odds in military areas and large compounds. The rarer ones also turn up in airdrop crates.
